The Hypercom T7 Series is a favorite amongst our ISO's. It provides convenient credit card processing with an integrated printer (Thermal or Impact), as well as allowing for Debit and Check Conversion. SPS-EFT is currently certified on four platforms for the Hypercom terminals. They are FDR Omaha, Paymentech, Visanet and Global NDC East. Another system requirement for the T7 Series is that the terminal must have at least 512KB of memory for the Check Conversion and Gift Card programs. To get instructions on how to view the amount of memory in the terminal, click here. Gift Card service can only be incorporated with the Visanet platform. Connection of a check reader to the T7 varies greatly depending on the specific model, and the other peripherals that are being used. The Hypercom T7P requires the use of a FIP-11 or FIP-12 interface to allow for the connection of a check reader. If using a Magtek check reader, or any other MICR Reader, the FIP-11 can be used. If using an RDM with a PIN Pad, a FIP-12 is required. The Hypercom T77 and T7Plus have an RS-232 port that will allow the check reader to be connected directly to the terminal without using a FIP-11 or FIP-12 Interface unit. |
