Imager is not powered up. | Ensure power is applied to the imager and the LED has changed from Orange to Green. The Power Supply should have an output of 24 Volts DC @ 900 mA for non-printer models and 24 VDC @ 2.5 Amp for printer models. |
Imager is dirty. | Using the cleaning kit that was supplied with the terminal, clean the MICR
reader. If the cleaning kit is not available - a can of compressed air can be used to blow any dust
or debris out of the MICR reader, also a crisp monetary bill can be used. Run the monetary bill
through instead of a check from the insert check prompt several times to remove any dust or debris
from the terminal. An RDM Scanner Care Cleaning Kit available, part number 6000-6070. |
