When the terminal displays that an application is not responding to VMAC, it does not matter which application. The fix is the same.

Terminal Response Probable Cause Action Taken
Application
XXXX
is not responding
to VMAC

 The VMAC has crashed.

Similar to the "Blue Screen" on a crashed computer.

( XXXX represents
the application
)
Power Cycle the terminal by unplugging it, wait 15 - 20 seconds, and plug it in. Slowly proceed through the prompts going into the last know working application. Wait there a few seconds, exit out to the VMAC menu. Wait there a few seconds and then try the application you were attempting to enter earlier.

This response can happen on any and all applications within the terminal.

It has been known to happen with ALL applications; i.e., CommServer, Credit/Debit Cards, Checks, and/or Gift Cards.

Unable to activate
XXXX
One or more
devices required
by the application
are unavailable

Unable to activate
XXXX
is not running
Make sure: INI entry
is correct and the
shared libraries
required by this
app. are loaded

Check the VMAC version. It maybe the VMAC version is not compatible with the version of the application that is not responding.
